Established in 2005, Mykonos Animal Welfare (Φιλοζωική Μυκόνου) is a registered charity dedicated to the health and well-being of animals on Mykonos. Our core activities include education, widespread sterilisation programs, emergency veterinary assistance, feeding initiatives, and finding loving homes for abandoned cats and dogs.
We collaborate closely with the Mykonian Mayor and Town Hall, who support our sterilisation and feeding efforts, and with three local veterinary clinics, who provide invaluable assistance when they can.
Over the past fifteen years, we have positively impacted the lives of tens of thousands of animals through sterilisation and direct aid. While our primary focus is stray cats and dogs, we extend our support whenever possible to other wildlife on the island, including pelicans, birds, reptiles, ducks, owls, snakes, donkeys, and horses.
