REMEMBERING MYKONOS ANIMAL WELFARE IN MY WILL
Thank you for considering leaving a legacy gift to Mykonos Animal Welfare. Your gift is vital to continuing our core objectives of education, sterilisations, emergency vet care, feeding and rehoming of abandoned Mykonian animals.
A legacy from you could help us each year to continue to:
- Sterilise over 1200 animals
- Rehome over 300 animals, including over 50 that are settled in other countries
- Distribute tonnes of food
- Treat over 200 animals
- Plus much much more
Important Information – Our Charitable Status:
Mykonos Animal Rescue/Φιλοζωική Μυκόνου is a formally registered Greek charity. Our postal address is PO Box 171 Mykonos Town, Mykonos Island 84600 Greece. Our registered charity number is 1050/2005.
How to include Mykonos Animal Welfare in your will:Â
If you don’t have a will, the most legally robust way to ensure Mykonos Animal Welfare is safely part of your will is to contact your solicitor and follow the steps that they recommend. Or, you may wish to use a free service like freewills.co.uk (currently only available to people who live in England and Wales).
If you do have a will then you can either seek to have your will altered/updated or you can complete this Mykonos Animal Welfare Codicil Form to make an alteration. A codicil is “an addition or supplement that explains, modifies, or revokes a will or part of one.” Once completed, store the codicil with your will (but not stapled to it).
Due to the complexity of laws in different countries around the world, we recommend you seek your own legal counsel to ensure all the requirements in your local jurisdiction are met, even if it’s just to check the will or codicil has been completed correctly.
Would you like to talk to us about your circumstances? Or do you have specific instructions you would like followed for your legacy? We would love to talk to you. Please contact us and a friendly voice will call you back as soon as we can.
Thank you for making such a generous, thoughtful contribution. Â Your gift will make a lasting and positive difference to the animals of Mykonos.
