BECOME A FLIGHT ESCORT

We often have kittens, puppies, cats and dogs that have been adopted by visitors to Greece but who are not yet old enough to travel to their forever country.  In this situation, we place them in short term foster homes where they can be cared for until they are old enough. During this time they will also be given all the vaccines and treatments that are required for travel.

Often is not possible for the new parents to return to Mykonos to pick them up.  A wonderful way you can support our cause and help enable these adoptions is by becoming a flight escort.

There are two important things that a flight escort is required to do:

1. Book the animal that is to travel in with your airline. We need you to make the reservation ASAP as there are limited places on board and, if possible, we prefer the animal to travel onboard rather than cargo so you can keep an eye on things and provide comfort if needed.

We will provide all the information you need to place the booking. Once booked, we will need you to provide us with all your flight information so we can add it to the pet passport.

All costs are covered by us or the new adoptive parents.

2. Take the animal with you and care for them for the length of the transport. Most animals are calm and quiet in their cage. We will organise to give you the animal for your departure and the owner will meet you in the airport once you land.
